Distinguishing Recovery from Remission in FIP

In collaboration and co-author with Dr. Diane Addie, we looked at identifying key markers that confirms a cat is cured from Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). FIP is a dreadful disease and often fatal viral disease. Dr Diane Addie, is one of the leading researchers in the subject, and on the board of Advisory Board for Cat Diseases (ABCD).

One difficulty in treating FIP is identifying if an animal is recovering from the condition or is simply in remission. Dr. Addie performed an observational study that shows that monitoring AGP levels provides a useful model for differentiating recovery from chronic coronavirus disease using acute phase protein monitoring.
